Section 40-6-5 provides for rulemaking authority to the Board of Oil, Gas and Mining and provides the Board with the authority to regulate all operations related to the production of oil and gas and the disposal of salt water and oil field wastes.

No written comments have been received.

Reasoned justification for continuation of the rule, including reasons why the agency disagrees with comments in opposition to the rule, if any:

Without this rule, the division would not have the ability to issue permits, review operations, and function in the arena of regulating oil and gas drilling and operations in the state. Therefore, this rule should be continued. There is no opposition to the renewal of this rule.
