NOTICE OF REVIEW AND STATEMENT OF CONTINUATION
Concise explanation of the particular statutory provisions under which the rule is enacted and how these provisions authorize or require the rule:
Section 4-11-3 authorizes the Department to make rules regarding the inspection and identification of apiaries in the state.
Summary of written comments received during and since the last five-year review of the rule from interested persons supporting or opposing the rule:
The Department has received no comments opposing or supporting this rule.
Reasoned justification for continuation of the rule, including reasons why the agency disagrees with comments in opposition to the rule, if any:
This rule allows for the inspection of apiaries in the state in order to protect bee health. Registration of hives is necessary for the state to adequately assess the health of the hives in the State of Utah. Therefore, this rule should be continued.
