NOTICE OF REVIEW AND STATEMENT OF CONTINUATION

Subsection 53C-1-302(1)(a)(ii) and Title 53C, Chapter 2 et seq. authorize the director of the School and Institutional Trust Lands Administration to establish rules for the issuance of leases and management of trust-owned lands and resources.

No written comments have been received by the agency concerning this rule since the last five year review.

Reasoned justification for continuation of the rule, including reasons why the agency disagrees with comments in opposition to the rule, if any:

This rule provides the necessary guidelines for the issuance of leases and permits for the commodities covered under this rule. It also provides for the efficient management of the resources for the best interests of the trust beneficiaries. Therefore, this rule should be continued.
