NOTICE OF REVIEW AND STATEMENT OF CONTINUATION

This rule is authorized under Sections 63G-3-201 and 64-13-10 of the Utah Code. This rule addresses requirements regarding the transportation of inmates in order to provide for public safety and the security of inmates under the jurisdiction of the Department.

Summary of written comments received during and since the last five-year review of the rule from interested persons supporting or opposing the rule:

No comments were received.

Reasoned justification for continuation of the rule, including reasons why the agency disagrees with comments in opposition to the rule, if any:

The transportation of inmates is still a vital part of our operation. Therefore, this rule should be continued.
