EXECUTIVE ORDER

Whereas, on April 21, 1987, Governor Norman H. Bangerter by Executive Order established a Motor Carrier Advisory Committee within the Division of Public Utilities of the Department of Business Regulation (now the Department of Commerce); and

Whereas, that Executive Order contained no sunset date, or expiration date; and

Whereas, the Motor Carrier Advisory Committee has been inactive; and

Whereas, no appointments have been made to fill vacant seats on the Committee; and

Whereas, changes in state and federal laws have obviated the need for the Committee;

Now, Therefore, I, Michael O. Leavitt, Governor of the State of Utah, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the laws of this state, do hereby repeal the Executive Order of April 21, 1987, declare that it is no longer in effect, and abolish the Motor Carrier Advisory Committee.

IN TESTIMONY, WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused to be affixed the Great Seal of the State of Utah this 30th day of September 1994.
