This rule is authorized under Section 41-6a-1304 which requires the Department to establish rules pertaining to the standards for school buses.

No written comments were received pertaining to this rule.

Reasoned justification for continuation of the rule, including reasons why the agency disagrees with comments in opposition to the rule, if any:

The rule should be continued to allow the Department of Transportation to set standards for school buses in order to protect the school children they carry from harm, as well as the traveling public from ill-maintained buses.
