The Department of Health has the authority (Sections 26-1-30 and 26-6-3) to require reporting for the control of diseases, health hazards, or injuries of public health concern.

No written comments have been received during and since the last five-year review of this rule.

Reasoned justification for continuation of the rule, including reasons why the agency disagrees with comments in opposition to the rule, if any:

Continuation of this rule allows the department to continue to identify the causes and risks of major injuries of public health concern which helps guide public health policy and actions to reduce or eliminate those injuries.
