NOTICE OF REVIEW AND STATEMENT OF CONTINUATION
Concise explanation of the particular statutory provisions under which the rule is enacted and how these provisions authorize or require the rule:
This rule is authorized in Subsection 41-6a-212(5) of the Utah Code. The code states that "the Department of Public Safety shall make rules providing minimum standards for all emergency pursuit policies that are adopted by public agencies authorized to operate emergency pursuit vehicles."

Reasoned justification for continuation of the rule, including reasons why the agency disagrees with comments in opposition to the rule, if any:
This rule should be continued as it provides the minimum standards for all emergency pursuit policies, and provides the necessary framework for all public safety agencies in the State of Utah to create, compare and review policy and procedure pertaining to pursuits.
