NOTICE OF REVIEW AND STATEMENT OF CONTINUATION
Concise explanation of the particular statutory provisions under which the rule is enacted and how these provisions authorize or require the rule:
Subsection 53-13-103(1)(b)(xi) provides that the members of a law enforcement agency established by a private college or university may be law enforcement officers provided the law enforcement agency of the college or university has been certified by the Commissioner of Public Safety according to the rules of the Department of Public Safety.

No written comments have been received during the last five-year period from interested persons supporting or opposing this rule.

Continuation of this rule is necessary because it establishes the criteria a law enforcement agency of a private college or university must meet in order to be certified.
