NOTICE OF REVIEW AND STATEMENT OF CONTINUATION
Concise explanation of the particular statutory provisions under which the rule is enacted and how these provisions authorize or require the rule:
Section 4-9-15 -- Registration of commercial establishments using weights and measures inspectors, Application, Fee, expiration, Renewal. The department shall establish rules for the registration of weights and measures users and issue of certification of weights and measures devices to ensure the use of correct weights and measures in commerce or trade.
Summary of written comments received during and since the last five-year review of the rule from interested persons supporting or opposing the rule:
No comments have been received supporting or opposing this rule.
Reasoned justification for continuation of the rule, including reasons why the agency disagrees with comments in opposition to the rule, if any:
As a regulatory agency, there is still a need to know the weighing and measuring devices in Utah and know where they are located. Therefore, this rule should be continued.
