NOTICE OF REVIEW AND STATEMENT OF CONTINUATION
Concise explanation of the particular statutory provisions under which the rule is enacted and how these provisions authorize or require the rule:
Statute authorizes the State Parks Board to authorize marine events in Section 73-18-16: "The division may authorize the holding of regattas, motorboat or other boat races, marine parades, tournaments, or exhibitions on any waters of this state. The board may adopt rules concerning the safety of vessels and persons, either as observers or participants."

No written comments in support or opposition of this rule have been received.
Reasoned justification for continuation of the rule, including reasons why the agency disagrees with comments in opposition to the rule, if any:
It is important for the division to be aware of any marine events taking place to ensure the safety of the resources, participants, and spectators. Therefore, this rule should be continued.
