NOTICE OF REVIEW AND STATEMENT OF CONTINUATION

Concise explanation of the particular statutory provisions under which the rule is enacted and how these provisions authorize or require the rule:

This rule defines which entities have the authority to name state buildings. This rule is authorized under Subsection 63A-5-103(1)(e), which directs the Building Board to make rules necessary for the discharge of the duties of the Division of Facilities Construction and Management (DFCM).

Summary of written comments received during and since the last five-year review of the rule from interested persons supporting or opposing the rule:

No comments have been received.

Reasoned justification for continuation of the rule, including reasons why the agency disagrees with comments in opposition to the rule, if any:

This rule is needed because it provides and clarifies the purpose, authority, policy, and legislative action required to name a state building. Therefore, this rule should be continued.
