This Week at Rules – December 23, 2020

Brody Mangum This Week at Rules

Hello rule readers!

This week at rules, we take a look a few mental health licensing rules and look back at what we’ve done in 2020.

Front Page Focus

The two rules we’re looking at have quickly risen in views this week. R156-60, Mental Health Professional Practice Act Rule and R156-60a, Social Worker Licensing Act Rule are the Front Page Focus rules. R156-60 covers language, education, and qualifications for occupations in the mental health field. Related to this, R156-60a goes in depth on the specific education, experience, and training requirements for a variety of social worker positions.

The Codification Segue wraps up this week’s Front Page Focus.

In the Past Year…

With 2020 nearly behind us, we’re looking back on what we’ve accomplished and exploring what’s next to come. In the past few months, we’ve redesigned our Home and Help pages around easier access, introduced our Dashboard and Tips & Tricks pages to more directly share data and information, and are continuing to work on our new AdminRules Search, which anyone can check out right now (more information here).

With all of the above said, we’ve got no plans to stop! We’re coming into 2021 focusing on our AdminRules Search and exploring new ways to improve our services. The best help with this is feedback. If you have any comments or suggestions, please reach out to us at rulesonline@utah.gov or through our Twitter or Facebook pages. We’ll be sure to get back to you and welcome any comments.
