This Week at Rules – January 6, 2021

Brody Mangum This Week at Rules

Happy New Year, rule readers!

This week at rules, we’re covering changes to the Executive Documents section of our website.

Front Page Focus

This week, we’re taking a look at R58-6, Poultry. R58-6 covers general information about poultry in the state, including importation guidelines, dealer and hatchery license information, and definitions of poultry-related terms.

The Codification Segue and R317-4, Onsite Wastewater Systems, still visited frequently as of today, complete this week’s Front Page Focus.

Updated Executive Documents

Last week, we discussed some of the changes and additions we made in 2020 and plan to make in the future. Our first change of 2021 improves a popular section of the site – our Executive Documents page.

The Executive Documents page hosts those executive orders, proclamations, and other documents that are provided by the Governor’s Office to our office. One of the most visited sections of our website, we make sure to keep it as updated and accessible as possible.

With Governor Cox beginning his term on Monday, we’ve made a few small changes to the page. Executive documents issued under Governor Herbert have been moved to a separate page entitled Executive Documents of Governor Gary R. Herbert, which can be found under the Executive Documents of Other Utah Governors section. For now, 2020 Executive Documents will still appear on main page. These are either still in effect or are still actively relevant.

Beginning with the page Executive Documents of Governor Gary R. Herbert, we’re also updating the design language of the previous Governors’ Executive Documents pages, allowing these to match the rest of our website and provide an easier navigation experience, especially on mobile devices.

As we rollout these changes, any feedback or questions are welcome. Please send an email to with any concerns, thoughts, or ideas you might have.

Have a great week!
