This Week at Rules – June 16, 2021

Brody Mangum This Week at Rules

Hi, rule readers!

This week at rules, we’re talking about GovOps.

Front Page Focus

We’re looking at three of our most visited pages this week. The current Utah Administrative Code through eRules, the Codification Segue, and our new Subscriptions service.

GovOps Transition

You might have noticed a message on our home page that talks about a department transition. As of July 1, 2021, the Department of Administrative Services (DAS) is merging with the Department of Human Resource Management (DHRM) and the Department of Technology Services (DTS) and being named the Department of Government Operations, or GovOps.

This transition will have no impact on the services or publications our office provides, including viewing the Utah Administrative Code and publishing new issues of the Utah State Bulletin and Digest. Our online services will function the same, with the only differences being small cosmetic changes, like a new logo.

We’re still here to answer any questions about rules or the administrative code, and you can reach us here at any time. For questions specific on rule text or how this transition might impact certain rules, the best contact would be the agency behind that rule. Visit our Who to Contact About a Rule? page for contact information on agencies with rulemaking authority.

We’ll be sharing more information on this transition as we approach the July 1 date. Keep an eye on our RulesNews blog, Twitter and Facebook accounts, and our home page for the latest information.

A Subscription Reminder

Yesterday, we notified mailing list subscribers of new issues of the Utah State Bulletin and Utah State Digest as soon as they were published. If you’re not yet subscribed and are interested in getting email notifications whenever new issues of our publications are published, visit the Subscriptions page to sign up for our mailing list.
