Appointments to Utah’s Legislative Administrative Rules Review Committee for 2009 have been finalized. Representative Curtis Oda has been appointed has House Co-Chair replacing Representative Ben C. Ferry. Representative Rebecca Lockhart replaces Representative Kory Holdaway. Senator Brent Goodfellow replaces Senator Mike Dmitrich. Sen. Gene Davis has been appointed to the Legislature’s Administrative Rules Review Committee. He fills the seat left vacant by the death of Sen. Ed Mayne. Sen. Davis served in the House of Representatives from 1987 to 1999. He has served in the Senate since 1999, representing district 3. The Division welcomes Sen. Davis to Administrative Rules Review.

Rep. Ben C. Ferry, Republican from District 2, has been assigned as the House chair of the Legislature’s Administrative Rules Review Committee. Rep. Ferry has served in the House since 1999. Rep. David Ure (Republican, District 53) chaired his final Administrative Rules Review Committee (ARRC) meeting on December 20, 2006. He was unsuccessful in his bid for the Senate seat held by retiring Sen. Beverly Evans. Rep. Ure was assigned to the ARRC in 1993 as a first-term legislator. He then became the House chair of ARRC in 1999 replacing Rep.
