On February 24, 2011, the Senate Government Operations and Political Subdivisions Standing Committee gave H.B. 228, Administrative Rules Reauthorization,  a favorable recommendation and placed the bill on the Senate Consent calendar.  That means that the Senate will pass H.B. 228 on March 1 provided no Senator votes against the bill. On February 17, 2011, the House of Representatives passed the annual Administrative Rules Reauthorization bill.  In its current form, the bill reauthorizes all administrative rules.

On 03/29/2010, the Governor signed H.B. 402, Department of Administrative Services Modifications, into law.   The law takes effect on 05/11/2010.  H.B. 402 gives the Executive Director of the Department of Administrative Services the flexibility to operate any of the department’s divisions, including the Division of Administrative Rules, as an internal service fund. S.B. 31 (2010), Administrative Rules Reauthorization, was signed into law on 03/23/2010.  S.B. 31 goes into effect on 05/01/2010.  On that date, all administrative rules in effect on 02/28/2010 are reauthorized except for Rule R495-888, Department of Human Services Related Parties Conflict Investigation Procedure.
