At its January 7, 2009, meeting, the Administrative Rules Review Committee approved its annual omnibus legislation to reauthorize administrative rules. The bill is required by Subsection 63G-3-502(3).
Based on information presented at the Administrative Rules Review Committee meeting on January 16, the bill will reauthorize all administrative rules EXCEPT:
- Board of Regents’ Rule R765-603 entitled “Regents’ Scholarship”; and
- Board of Education Rule R277-470 entitled “Charter School Parental Involvement,” Subsections R277-470-12(B) and (C).
The bill has not yet been numbered, nor has the final text of the bill been released. Rep. Ben Ferry will sponsor the bill.
